Problem with the Eureka PDF on Apple devices, now fixed

We’ve had two reports of iPad/Macbook issues with the full Eureka PDF in the past couple of days, and my best guess is that the master download file got corrupted somehow.

We tested the PDF on Mac and PC products before publication, and we’ve had several comments from customers over the past few months about how good it looks on iPads/etc. — it’s not a problem native to the book or the downloadable version!

If you got a bum copy, please send me an email — and I’m sorry for the inconvenience. I’ll make it right for you right away. You can reach me at: martin (at) enginepublishing (dot) com.

Update: Actually, the problem wasn’t with the file, but with the way the file played with Apple’s new native PDF reader. Our layout guy, Darren Hardy, swapped the master for an RGB version, tested it on his iPad and Macbook, and it now works like a charm.

I had no idea PDFs weren’t read the same way by different software, which is why I appreciate working with professionals. Thanks for the fix, Darren!

The new file has been uploaded everywhere that Eureka is sold. If you’d like a direct link to the new version, please just let me know.
