Never Unprepared goes gold

I’m a couple days late on this because I’ve been prepping for Gen Con, but as of this weekend Never Unprepared is now a Gold bestseller at DriveThruRPG, putting it in the top 1% of all products sold on the industry’s largest download site.

Or: Holy shit.

Phil, the author of NU, also noticed that the book was removed from the 100 Hottest Small Press list — not because it fell off by virtue of being nudged to #101 or further down, but because Engine Publishing is apparently no longer considered a small-press publisher by DriveThruRPG. That’s pretty trippy, though my home office looks the same, we still have the same number of employees — me — and I’m still just a guy. But it’s cool!

Also, there’s a new review of NU up at Flames Rising. Reviewer Steven Dawes says “It’s like session prep is the ‘Fight Club’ of Game Masters” — and he’s right.
