Queen City Conquest feedback

Phil Vecchione, the author of Never Unprepared, recently ran some events at Queen City Conquest, and I sent him a prize package of books to distribute, auction off for charity, and award at the con.

Here’s what he had to say after getting back:

Queen City Conquest was awesome! I ran my first two Con games there, and it was a ton of fun. The Engine Pack we donated to the charity auction helped to raise $600 for Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. That money was used to buy things for the hospital, in terms of games and such for the common areas on the hospital floors.

Providing this kind of support to cons, charity auctions, contests, and the like is something Engine Publishing and the teams behind our books enjoy doing, and I’m thrilled at how this particular event turned out. We support events like this more or less as often as we’re asked to, as long as the event is gaming-related. We do it because it’s the right thing to do, not for PR, and I love it when it goes well.
