Engine Publishing at GenCon 2010

GenCon 2010 was awesome for Engine Publishing:

Eureka sold out

We sent 50 copies of Eureka to our fulfillment partner, Studio 2 Publishing, to sell at their booth in the exhibit hall, and they sold out by Saturday night. The Eureka seminar (which I participated in but didn’t organize, as I wasn’t expecting to make it to GenCon) was a big contributor to this — many thanks to the Eureka authors (and fellow gnomes) who organized the seminar, to everyone who attended, and to everyone who bought Eureka!

Gnome Stew won an ENnie for Best Blog

Eureka was created by the team behind Gnome Stew, and the Stew won a silver ENnie for Best Blog! As a longtime gamer, author, and blogger, this stands as one of the high points of my career.

On a personal level, I had a blast at GenCon as me, not just as Engine Publishing. 😉 I made some new friends, met some great folks, played Fiasco, ate far too much, and got to spend an entire day rambling in the exhibit hall. Good stuff!

There’s also a bit of Eureka news unrelated to GenCon:

Eureka debuted at #35 in DriveThruRPG’s Top 100

Eureka entered DriveThruRPG’s Top 100 at #35 — not something I expected to happen right out of the gate. The Top 100 is an average over time, so it’s now at #37, but I hope to see it climb the rankings as sales continue to grow.

Print + PDF bundles are now available for sale again

For the first time since preorders closed, you can now order Eureka in print from our online store. $34.95 buys you the print edition as well as a free copy of the book in PDF. You’ll get your PDF right away, with your book to follow. We also sell the PDF on its own for $16.95.

The feedback I’ve been getting from Eureka customers so far has been fantastic. If you buy/have bought the book, I’d love to hear from you!
