Engine Publishing Signs with Studio 2 Publishing

I’m thrilled to announce that Engine Publishing has signed with Studio 2 Publishing, and that Studio 2 will begin fulfilling orders for our first product, Eureka: 501 Adventure Plots to Inspire Game Masters, to game stores later this year.
To already have a fulfillment deal in place before the book is out of preorders is, frankly, a pretty surreal feeling — I never expected that. Jim Searcy, the president of Studio 2, has been a pleasure to work with, and knowing that Eureka’s retail future is in good hands is a real load off my mind. I can’t wait to see how it does in stores!
Eureka will be available at GenCon
The timing worked out perfectly for GenCon, too: Eureka will be available from the Studio 2 Publishing booth, #320, in the exhibit hall. We’ll be sending 50 copies to the con with Studio 2, and as this is our first book I have no idea if that’s too few, too many, or just right.
For GenCon-goers, our PDF guarantee applies: If you buy the book at GenCon, email a photo or scan of your receipt to me at martin (at) enginepublishing (dot) com, and I’ll send you a free copy of the PDF. (Don’t forget to ask for a receipt!)
When can I buy Eureka at my FLGS?
Studio 2 will be doing a preorder solicitation to distributors, and the way the distribution chain is set up (in our case: publisher > fulfillment house > distributors > retailers) that means books should start arriving in stores around October/November of this year. We’ll continue to have print + PDF bundles on sale in our online store as well, and after preorders close Eureka will be available from other online retailers as well (including as a standalone PDF).
Want to see Eureka in your FLGS? Ask your retailer to order a few copies from their distributor, product code EGP42001. Our PDF guarantee applies to books you buy at a brick-and-mortar retailer, as well, so you don’t have to decide between supporting your retailer and supporting Engine Publishing and the team behind Eureka.
