Eureka has now sold over 1,000 units

After some delays, Eureka became available for distributors to order in late January, and their orders came in throughout February — 114 of them.

As of our latest sales report from our fulfillment partner, Studio 2 Publishing, Eureka has now crossed the 1,000-unit mark — in just a hair over eight months since we opened preorders. Thank you very much to everyone who has bought the book!

Back when we started working on the book, that was my fourth — and most optimistic — goal for Eureka, and I’m now going to cross it off the list:

1. Pay back the small loan we took out to cover costs
2. Break even (financially, not considering time and sweat equity)
3. Sell 500 books (10% of Gnome Stew‘s daily readership)
4. Sell 1,000 books in our first year

Hot damn, is that a good feeling! I imagined crossing that line, but had no idea what to expect — and actually doing it is kind of unbelievable.

For a first book from a brand new publisher in the RPG industry, 1,000 units sold is a major milestone. It’s one more confirmation that the time and money we invested in Eureka was worth it, and that the time and money going into our second book is likely to be worth it as well.

Many, many thanks to everyone who has bought a copy of Eureka, told a friend about the book, run one of our 501 plots, or otherwise helped us reach this milestone!
